“ACG Tambuwal who hails from Tambuwal Local Government of Sokoto State is one of the most outstanding officers who as a volunteer contributed both energy and resources to ensure the Corps becomes a full paramilitary agency, he was enlisted into the NSCDC as a commissioned officer and his unbiased leadership and administrative efficiency remains a reference point in Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Edo, Niger, Kano and Rivers State Commands where he gave the best of his service before his recent promotion to the enviable rank of Assistant Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.”

” As I give glory to the Almighty God for his infinite mercies and grace; I am indeed grateful to the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni. for finding me worthy to be deployed to Rivers State of which I assumed duty on 1st February, 2022 as the 10th substantive State Commandant of NSCDC Rivers State Command; my assumption of duty came at a very critical time when there was urgent need to reinvigorate and reposition the Command and as well as to restore the confidence of the general public in the operations of the Command. My team of management staff officers and the operatives swung into action in the fight against oil theft, illegal refineries and all illegal dealings in petroleum products which have led into environmental degradation, pollution, health hazards in the State and economic sabotage in the nation. Within these few months, over hundreds of arrests were made and suspects were charged to Court, having secured court judgments in favour, some of the products and means of conveyance have been forfeited and the proceeds remitted into the Federal Government Coffers while a few cases are still under investigation”.
“I urge you to unanimously cooperate with the incoming State Commandant to enhance greater successes and achievements. Let me reaffirm that there must also be strong collaborations amongst reputable stakeholders most especially the Government, Security agencies, traditional rulers, faith based organization and Civil Society Groups in order to sensitize our youths on the need to shun criminalities and electoral violence even as the 2023 General Election approaches”.
It is pertinent for me to thank our amiable Executive Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for providing enabling environment, logistics and support for the Command to discharge her statutory duties accordingly. I also wish to commend the Media for continuous partnership as well as professionalism in their relationship with the command. Like every other newly promoted officers mine is a reward of diligence and hardwork but most of all a call to duty at a higher echelon. May God bless the good people of Rivers State and our Nation at large” Tambuwal said.
