Chairman of the Lagos State Branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Dr. Musliudeen Agoro has presented a cheque of N50,000 to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Lagos, Professor Funsho Falade.
Dr. Agoro was ably assisted during the presentation by the Vice Chairman of NSE, Lagos Branch, Engr. Ayotunde Ogunnoiki in support of scholarly research.
The gesture was made as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Nigerian Society Engineers, Lagos Branch on research & development of the university.
A sum of N75,000 was also presented to a final year student of the University, Omolola Ebunoluwa Damilare, who is an orphan.
The money was presented to him so that he could complete his studies.
Omolola is currently a 500 level student of the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department of the University of Lagos.
Present at the presentation was the Head of Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering Department of the University, Professor Kolawole Aiyesimoju.
It was revealed at the event that the gesture ought to have taken place earlier, but that it was delayed by the Coronavrus Pandemic that got into the whole world by surprise.
The recipients thanked the management and leadership of the Lagos Branch of NSE and prayed that God would continuously provide for and bless them.
