Access Bank Lagos City Marathon holds a press briefing to herald 2020 marathon at the in-door hall, Teslim Balogun stadium, Surulere.

This year’s marathon, been the 5th edition, is uniquely different from previously held editions because, a participation fee has been introduced and awards were presented to individuals and organizations who has stood solidly behind the organizer in ensuring a successful racing each year.

Speaking during welcome address, Managing Director, Nilayo Sports Management Company, Bukola Olopade, who could not hide his excitement, looking back from inception at contributions of individuals and organizations who has been supportive towards having a hitch-free event each year, praised efforts that has been put in, by great individuals and corporate organizations not to relent in their hoarse because the reward for hard work is more work.

Also speaking, Executive Director, Access Bank Plc, Victor Etuokwu says, athletes and participants should expect nothing but the best, he emphasized, despite introduction of registration or participation fee, this didn’t discourage people from taking part in the forth coming event.
