The Nigerian Labor Congress has given Federal GOVERMMENT of Nigeria two weeks ultimatum to reverse the hike on price of petrol.

In a statement issued by the NLC President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, the union said the ultimatum takes immediate effect, warning that, at the end of its expiration on September 28, it would mobilise its members nationwide for action.

President, NLC, Ayuba Wabba, said, “We have convened because of the twin issues of hikes in fuel price and electricity tariff and the CWC has noted that the two increases, despite the fact that they are ill timed because of COVID-19 and the economic situation of the country, have reduced the purchasing power of Nigerians. They have also brought about high cost of goods and services and eroded, completely, the gains of the N30,000 minimum wage.
