Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Ondo State counterpart, Ogbeni Rotimi Akeredolu have promised to grace the enthronement of newly elected bishop of Ebenezer Cathedral, Ilutitun, Diocese on the Coast, Okitipupa local government, Bishop Oluseyi Pirisola, come Saturday October 19th, in Okitipupa, Ondo State.
Formerly Venerable Seyi Pirisola is the Bishop-elect for the Diocese on the coast. He’s served at All Soul’s Anglican Church Archdeaconry Lekki in the Diocese of Lagos. He is to replace the late Bishop Ebunoluwa Ogunele.
Bishop Oluseyi Pirisola was elected on the 21st August, consecrated on September 19th, while the enthronement comes up this Saturday.
Also expected at the occasion includes all Anglican bishops including, immediate retired Diocesan Bishop, Anglican Communion, MOST Rev’d Dr. Adebola Ademowo.
Bishop Oluseyi Pirisola is a native of the State, born and brought up in Ikale and Ilaje, Ondo State. He finished Secondary School in Manuwa Memorial Grammar School, Iju-Odo, 1982.
He proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Ado- Ekiti for Higher National Diploma and also obtained his M.B.A in Business Administration from Federal University of Technology Akure in 2001, Master in Divinity Crowther Seminary Abeokuta in 2010.
Bishop Pirisola started his missionary journey with St. John’s Anglican Church, Igbotako as a Curate between 1995 and 1998. He has also served as curate in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ikate, in the year 2005 – 2006, St. Paul’s Breadfruit 2006 – 2013, Our Saviour’s Church, TBS.
This humility personified man of God was later promoted to Vicar and served at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Okepopo between year 2013 – 2015 and St. John’s Anglican Church Aroloya in 2015 – 2017.
He has since 2017 been Vicar and Archdeacon of Lekki Archdeaconry, All Souls’ Anglican Church Lekki.
He got married in 1994 to Mrs. Sina Pirisola and the marriage is blessed with three children. Pirisola derive pleasure in Reading, Evangelism and Swimming
