All roads led to Ajah area of Lagos on Sunday December 19, 2021 as wife of the late Oniguru of Oguru land, Olori (Alhaja) Alimot Shadiat Akanke Oloto dedicated her multi million naira house to the glory of Almighty Allah.

It was a dream come through after eight years when the foundation of the building was laid, and it was an honour from God, who started the work and gave her the grace to complete the palatial edifice.


In his sermon, A.S Sheik Khalipha Alhaji Abubakar Sulaimon encouraged Olori Shadiat Oloto to always be thankful to Almighty Allah, who he said within a few of months of the demise of her husband blessed her with the magnificent building, saying that “today, we are dedicating the house to God, you have every reason to be grateful to Him.”


Olori Shadiat Oloto, whose heart was filled with joy, said that the house was built for her son, Shamsideen Bakinson, who also prayed that as she had done this for him, he (Shamsideen) should reciprocate the gesture, and even build more gigantic one for her whenever he returns Nigeria from his base abroad.

One of the prominent Obas in Ogun State, who spoke with Nationalsketch.com at the event, Aboro of Iboroland, Oba Daniel Abayomi Salako expressed happiness seeing Olori Alimot Shadiat Oloto dedicating her house to her son.

“To start with, Olori Shadiat Oloto is my sister, and she is also is my mother, she’s ‘Iya Oba of Iboro land.’ I thank God on her behalf, because God has done a wonderful thing in her life.

“This is not the first, not the second, I think third, I knew when she started the project, and I am so happy and thank God on her behalf that she’s alive today to witness the grand opening.

“We all dedicate the house to the glory of God and for the use of mankind.

“She has been able to go through lots of challenges in life. There was a time she was sick, but look at what she’s doing today. She has been able to perform the grand opening and I pray for her that she would do more,” he said.


Also speaking during the grand opening, the new Oba elect of Itire land, Prince Tajudeen Odubiyi described Olori Shadiat Oloto as not just a wife, but that she has become a mother to them.

“It’s just a pity that death has taken her husband away, but we take solace that what he left behind is good which is what they are doing with the opening,” he said.

The Oba elect prayed that such good things would circulate in the lives of everyone, and gave kudos to Olori Oloto for the good work she has done and prayed that she would not die now.

Prince Tajudeen later encouraged parents to give their children good education and bring them up in the right way, saying that if parents bring up their children in the right way, such parents will enjoy the benefits.

Dignitaries across the length and breadth of Lagos were present to identify with Olori Shadiat Oloto, among whom were; Alhaja Bisi Kuye, who was elegantly dressed like sweet sixteen, it’s belived she is a close ally of Olori Oloto.

Olori Shadiat Oloto showed simplicity, when she announced to everyone that Alhaja Mosun Masha and herself were not age mate, but that their relationship has lasted more than 20 years, and that people thought they were friends and she openly declared that “she’s my sister.”


Rasheedat Okoya was there. Wife of a younger brother of billionaire industrialist and philantropist, Alhaji Rasak Okoya, Alhaji Taofeek Okoya, Alhaja Rasheedat Okoya, also witnessed the event.

She solidly stood behind Olori Oloto and she shared souvenirs to the numerous guests present at the event.

Other dignitaries at the event were, Iya Oja of Tinubu, Mrs Temi Adekoya, Alhaja Fatimah Abdulahi (Gambo), Chief (Mrs) Salimot Jagun, the Erele of Ifako, Alhaji Babajide Okunnu, and many others.
